How To Make Organic Compost
June 29th, 2012 | Posted by in Eco-FriendlyCompost helps produce healthy, biologically active soil that keeps plants vigorous and pest-free without herbicides and pesticides. Collect unsprayed trees, fresh sawdust and wood chips or hay and straw from an organic farmer in your area. Layer these materials with grass clippings and food waste. Make sure you compost only organic waste. Separate your kitchen wastes into organic and nonorganic produce so that former goes in your organic waste collection and latter goes in municipality bin. Use fully enclosed commercial compost bins to avoid contamination of herbicides and pesticides, if your neighbor uses it in their garden.
