cost of organic foods

Organic foods are really a safe bet for health as they exclusively grown free of synthetic chemicals. Many shoppers reluctant to buy organic foods, as they are costly. However, one should consider few strategies before buying organic fruits and vegetables. Some fruits and vegetables have minimal pesticide residue or thick protective skins that are peeled away before consumption. Consider buying these organic: celery, peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nectarines, bell peppers, spinach, kale, cherries, potatoes and imported grapes.

Check out local farmers markets, as you will find array of local foods that will helps cut costs. When browsing the supermarket, save money by choosing organic produce that is in season. Prices are lower when there is a greater supply of foods in the market. You can also buy food in bulk since there are many cost-effective deals at farmer markets. Avoid frozen organic meals which can be expensive; instead cook dinner from your own organic ingredients.
