November 9th, 2012 | Posted by in Organic CookingEveryone prefers dishes bursting with flavors over bland foods. And such sumptuous delicacies can easily be prepared using eco-friendly spices. So, to teach people about the benefits of organic cooking, Sierra magazine has hooked Peter Mollett, a famous chef and chemist who owns the Smokin' Texas Gourmet. The company's test kitchen boasts of a 100 flavor spice rack which churns out condiments, sauces and rubs. The renowned expert singled out 5 eco-friendly spices which organic living enthusiasts can use to flavor up their cooking. These spices are turmeric root powder from Banyan Botanicals, the organic no-salt seasoning that is a blend of 21 organic spices from Costco's Kirkland Signature, Coriander made from the seeds of the cilantro plant from Simply Organic, the Pink Himalayan Salt from mointainroseherbs which has 84 trace minerals and the yellow mustard powder from Eden Foods.
