Testing Quality and Flavor of Different Olive Oils
December 1st, 2012 | Posted by in Organic CookingMost of the times, there are different types of olive oils stored in the kitchen cupboards of gourmands and home chefs. Actually, different types of olives can be used to make various varieties of olive oils. Thus, many types of flavors are available in such oils. So, Whole Foods Market has created a collection or organic olive oils. In this collection, each oil is made using a single type of olive giving the oils a distinct flavor. Sharon Gerhardt tested some of these olive oils by preparing dishes to see how they complement various ingredients. She found that the quality of the oil as well as the type of olive used to make it can affect the flavor of dishes prepared to a great extent.
